All churches want to grow; all believers want to reach the world. But how did Jesus say this would happen? By gathering resources and building audiences? The kingdom of God works on the principle of the harvest: living comes by dying; gaining by losing. God was and always has been a God that sends. He sent Moses. He sent Jesus. He sent the disciples. Jesus pointed to sending, not gathering, as the key to reaching the world with the gospel. He is sending... us!
